We got the Fordillac home with no problems, although it came home on a trailer. Probably could have driven, as it’s cool today, but I didn’t want to take a chance. I did drive the car this evening after we got home, about 5 miles, and as before I added the rear radiator, it runs cool at this temp, but don’t let it idle.
I have the radiator from the “Milusion”, which was bowed, but not punctured, when it got hit. It looks like it’ll fit the spot in the roadster where the leaking one is, so I’ll try that. The car also needs to come up a bit in the rear, as the tires left some rubber on the body (full gas tank and trunk full of stuff on the way to Lansing). So, I’ll raise it an inch or so, and if the axle hit the radiator when it bottomed out, that should give enough clearance.
Bad roads are Jennifer G’s approach to promoting economic growth through increased capital expenditures by motorists need to undertake expensive and routine repairs to their cars.
Awwww, come on, Barry. Don’t you miss it??? Brian, sounds like your weekend was an experience. Car looks great (even on a trailer).
I think it may have more to do with a car which has about an inch of suspension travel, 3″ of ground clearance, and fragile componants in harms way, than the pothole itself!
