Huh, now I’m a role model?

Who?  Me?  Tonight my old woodshop teacher from high school, where my one project was a turned walnut bowl I got a “C” on because I was in too big a hurry to get all the sanding marks out of the inside, asked me to be a mentor at the Gilmore Museums education program.  Specifically, to sub for him while he’s vacationing for a couple of months this winter.  I’m flattered, not only because I looked up to the guy then and still do, but it’s for a good cause, and I think a good opportunity for me as well.

Now I’m gonna have to go and be all respectable and act like I know something about woodworking, and old cars…
