It seemed like such a good idea. Pull the car around in the yard, take a couple of pictures with the tree we’d hauled home on the roof (forgot the camera at the U-Pick tree farm), and this years ever-so-cute Christmas car is just an email from Walgreens away, right?
Yes, it’d have been just fine if I hadn’t forgotten about that stump under the snow just off to the right of the car, and backed over it, crushing the bottom of the right front fender and mangling the stainless rocker molding. It actually sounded worse than it was, but it’s still not good. Oh well, I needed to do some touch up work on it anyway.
If you’re gonna drive ’em, they’re gonna get dinged up.
Merry Christmas, everybody!
You handled it very well. Didn’t swear or throw anything! Lucky me it was your idea to drive around the yard!
Even with a dent, it’s a wonderful life…
OUCH!………………but I did a similar thing to my Dodge truck a couple of months ago……turned into a rock (painted yellow to call attention to it) parking lot barrier. I saw it when I parked….but totally forgot about when I was leaving……until………..the “lurch”…..crushed the lower section of the bed side ahead of the rear wheel…..you’re right…it happens.
Merry Christmas to you and your family………I really enjoy your posts!

Seems that all to many times good ideas will go awry. At least you have plenty of time to fix it between now and spring driving weather.
